We can get to see a lot of historical places.these historical places are of much educational and historical value.it is therefore very important for students to visit atleast a few of them. The capital of india is a place of great historical value.within delhi, there are several such places to visit, like the qutab minar,red fort, humayun's tomb etc.last sunday. The principal of our school arranged a trip for the senior students to visit the red fort.most of the students had already visited the place, but such was its attraction that they wanted to visit it again. The red fort is a 17th century fort complex constructed by the mughal emperor shah jahan in the walled city of old delhi. It served as the capital of the mughals until 1857, when mughal emperor bahadur shah zafar was exiled by the british indian government. It is now a popular tourist site, as well as a powerful symbol of india's sovereignty: the prime minister of india raises the flag of india on the ramparts of the lahori gate of the fort complex every year on independence day. It was designated a unesco world heritage site in 2007 we reached the school at 8a.m in the morning.by 8.30 we set out from school in our school bus, and reached the red fort by 9a.m.

The walls of the fort are smoothly dressed, articulated by heavy string courses along the upper section. The lahore gate is the main entrance it leads to a long covered bazaar street, the chatta chowk, whose walls are lined with stalls for shops. Beyond the delhi gate is another, larger open space, which originally served as the courtyard of the diwan i aam. The large pavilion for public imperial audiences with an ornate throne balcony jharokha for the emperor. The columns were painted in gold and there was a gold and silver railing separating the throne from the public. The pavilions are connected by a continuous water channel, known as the nahr i behisht. Then we went to the 'diwan e khas',the hall of private audience where only select persons could meet the king.

Finally we went to the war memorial museum where weapons used in the first world war are exhibited. We had completed the tour of red fort and started our return journey back to school. It was really an unforgettable experience, which apart from being intellectuaaly rewarding.

Pakistan is a country in which you would find a variety of historical places that signify the unique traditions and culture of the country. These places are of extraordinary significance for people interested in history, at the same time they may act as an attraction for tourists. The tourism industry of pakistan flourishes because of the existence of beautiful historical sites in the country. Some of the most significant historical places in the country include harappa, mohenjo daro and taxila. Harappa is situated approximately 200 km from lahore in the montgomery district of punjab.

It is the place of the historic indus valley civilization settlement which is as old as 50 years and is a civilization which the modern day people almost forgot about. A beautifully designed civilization which was discovered in 1920 has all elements of a modern day arrangement of a city. It had an exceptional sewerage system, drinking water wells and a high quality waste disposal system. The harappans were agrarian people and experts believe they had a system of government for the distribution of the wealth of food.

Mohenjo daro was discovered in 1922 and is one of the oldest and most built up urban civilizations of the world. It is located on the west bank of the indus river and it is a tiny proportion of the indus river civilization of harappa. Experts believe that the city was one of the most important in the indus valley civilization and would have held majority of the trade courses and strength of the southern indus plain between 2600 and 1900 bce. One might find it difficult to find any palaces or monuments in the area but the city is well known for having historical pieces of gold beads, lapis, carnelian and ivory.

All the houses in the city had areas for bathing and water wells were located in multiple spots all across the city. It had the most amazing drainage system and many of the modern day civilizations use the model of mohenjo daro's drainage system to build new ones. Taxila is another place which holds much significance when talking about the historical places of pakistan. It is located 30 km north west of the rawalpindi city and it is considered to be one of the most significant historical locations in asia. The city is known for prospering culturally and economically from the 1st to 5 th century ad.

It also used to be the capital of the budhist kingdom so tourists might come across multiple budha monuments in the city. The three sites mentioned above are historical sites of utmost importance, but there are other historical sites in the country which attract tourists from all over the world such as the takhti bahi and the mausoleum of jahangir, the mughal emperor. The historical significance of various sites of pakistan is the country's unique selling point when it comes to the tourism industry.
