To answer this well you need to do two things:

    find the information the question asks for. For this you need to identify what the text is about and then decide if the writer thinks the topic is a good or a bad thing. You can do this by looking at: the heading or title this should help you decide on the main subject of the text.

One poem might have the theme of love or tension, write down quotes that show love or tension and then analyse them by referring to their imagery, similes, metaphors, sibilance, repetition, descriptive language etc. If you can draw or, even if you can't , use an a4 piece of paper to depict your character.
