A community of critical thinkers is always preferable to a single minded group, certainly more powerful than a lone individual.  within the radical and ongoing effort to become a community, there remains the promise to be guided from within, reaching beyond, to a higher standard.  because, while yet one in community, the honor code raises the personal act of an individual –who remains his/her own political, social, and spiritual entity, to a wider, more powerful, further reaching citizenship. Thus, organized and guided, we are called to invest our personal pursuits in our calling to creating something wiser, finer, and greater than ourselves –intentionally building a newer, more mutual, and nurturing creation. Haverford’s honor code expands further than paper it actively thrives within its community of curious academics and caring citizens of our world.
