now if coffee shops such as starbucks and even your local 7 11 and dunkin doughnuts will offer these resuable cups.

Think about itwell over 7 billion trips are made to coffee shops with disposable styrofoam cups or paper cups are used in one year. How much oil and/or trees were cut for that cup of coffee?

melissa miedema on 04.19.2008 at 0 am

anybody who this this is a new idea is an idiot. People have been bringing their own cups for coffee for years and not paying $20.00.

most coffee places do offer reusable cups for purchase and will honor them if you request to fill them up instead of a new paper cup. Most decent quality reusable coffee mugs are approximately $10 $15, in fact, i just purchased a new one because my old one broke.

where are these made? china? are they full of lead? id like to know where they are made? another foreign import? in comment to michael randhall, starbucks and most coffee shops including 7 11s do carry reusable coffee mugs. Think of the big gulp huge plastic cooling containers they sell for sodas, and all of the starbucks designed and holiday themed thermal coffee mugs and to go/car friendly reusable items they sell. But, dude, i am on your team, for sure! the reason i like the i am not a paper cup, also in reply to melissa meidemas comment is because the name, also the plain design is made to resemble a paper cup therefore bringing awareness to the overwhelming waste in papercups. People who dont think about the waste of paper cups, or take the paper cup because the reusable one they have at home, get a shot of consciousness when they see it and either pick it up buy it or remember to use the coffee/beverage containers they already have. Secondly, unlike all the themed and specially designed thermal products out there, this one is pretty much appealing to anyone.

One has to think how many mugs dont sell and become waste because of the designs on them. While i may favor anything that is completely pink and ultra girly glam friendly, some men and women may not agree with my preference and sadly, out there i imagine a large landfill with mountains of pink, baby pink, fushia tears all rejected consumer waste. So, yes, this is the one mug fits all sort of deal, therefore cutting down on waste too.

Yes, i want to know! where it was made, how healthy it is to drink out of, how well it may be recycled or is biodegradable? what is the mission statement of the company? if i purchase this cup, and i supporting a company that may be using the profits to produce other waste or is directly supporting other forms of animal and enviromental harm. But really, yes, there are all these concerns, and i will write to dci and encourage anyone that gets answers to such questions to contact me through my website. Thank you, in advance, if you take the time to do so! finally, gaussian blur, great name! to anyone who has spent hours with photoshop worki get itawesome and very creative. Ohan imagine what a great pick up line the cup offers, since coffee shops seem to be the new singles hang out. I see we both are holding im not a paper cups! we have so much in common, you could probably also hold my future childlolor something lessforward? blessings! genevieve

reusable cups reduce resources required. Plus no forests are actually cut to make paper cups, forests are cut for lumber while tree farms grow the paper. Eliminating paper use wont save a single tree in an old, or even 2nd, growth forest.

Huge forests tree farms would dissappear as they are plowed under for the next cash crop.

erik on 04.19.2008 at 1 pm

genevieve gallen saying that there will be less waist of this cup compared to other themed mugs because it is more aestheticly pleasing is a falacious argument. I could argue and do that a porcelin mug designed to look like a paper cup is tacky.

So how is that one size fits all? save your breath next time before you spew b.s.

im soo in love wwith the coffee cup even if i dont drink coffee, i will order one of these for all my office mates.

renna on 04.19.2008 at 1 pm

i applaud the reusablity, but the blandness is either a disguise for people who dont want to be seen as granola crunching, tree hugging, sensitive hippie type married to one or an extreemly ironic statment.
