My first time away from home leaving to go to college was my very first time away from home, and it took a lot of adjusting to a new surrounding. I didn't have my mom right by my side anymore and i needed to become more independent on doing things on my own. Adjusting to a new city, community, and school was a challenge because i was used to being in my own city, with my old friends, at my old school. When people look at my house from the street, they see, right away, the high trees around my house and the brickwork roof of it. When you enter the front door you can see the huge chandelier in the top of the entrance hallway. In the first floor, there are two bedrooms, one bathroom and a large living room. The living room, which is the room that i really like in my house, has two big sofas and a very nice massage chair. And with an amazingly huge lcd screen in it, it is quite nice for watching movies and having some popcorn at night! my home, for me, is very important. Everyday when i come back from work and close my front door, i have a nice feeling that my day was special.

_ _ i'm supposed to have toefl next week, but i'll postpone it to november or december. But, as you can see in that bad passage, i really do have problems with speaking and writing. The essay i wrote above is not from a toefl preparing book or something, it's just a topic in one of my english books. I know it'll never come on a toefl test, but i'm trying to write a lot to improve my writing skill. I didn’t want to wake up, but she told me that i had a baseball game and i sat up really fast. When i finished the hot chocolate i got out of bed and took a towel from our closet. When i finished getting dressed i unlocked the door and went into the closet to get my baseball bag that holds all my equipment.

I took my bag out of the closet and went into the kitchen for my pack of sunflower seeds. I put the sunflower seeds in my baseball bag and took my batting gloves out of the bag. Introduction my work experience when i was told that i would be doing my work experience at belleview nursing home, working with old sick people i found that it was a very daunting prospect. I made my way to work on monday 6th of june by the service bus at 8.30am to be at my workplace by 9.00am.

The thought of meeting new people and trying to act mature in an environment i was not sure of scared me. I got to belleview nursing home and suddenly felt all my worries diminish within ten minutes of meeting my newfound work colleagues. The matron, myra symes, welcomed me with a smile and made me feel part of the team immediately. Of course some of the dementia patients were quite frightening as their illness can cause them to be quite aggressive which in turn means you have to be aware at all times that they can be violent and could possibly hurt you. One particular patient, lizzie, who was 97 and looked very sad, and confused, due to her dementia, thinking that she was still at home during the war and thought she was a sixteen year old girl. I thought of how she must have felt, having the mind of a sixteen year old but the body of a ninety seven year old. She made me feel sad for her but feeling sorry for the patients doesn't help in the caring profession.

As my week progressed at the nursing home, so did my capabilities i grew more confident in the tasks i was being asked to perform. In my week at belleview nursing home i have learned that old people are not just those invisible people that you don't see in the streets or on the public transport because i never paid attention to them. It just took a week for me to get to know these people and realise that they were once teenagers like me and probably never expected to be in a nursing home because, like me, thought they would always be healthy in body and mind. We never know what life is going to deal us and we should always be aware that what we do in our lives today and tomorrow will have its consequences in later life.

The people i came to know in the nursing home should be looked after to the best of everyone's ability, as they were once a great contribution to society. Who doesn't want to own their own home someday? most people look forward to the day they can buy their own home, but most get overwhelmed by the long process. However, buying a home can be an easy process if you know what you're looking for and you take the appropriate steps. If you have children you may want to take into consideration what areas have the best schools or you may want an area that is close to work.

Once you have decided on the area you should now start thinking of what style of house you want. There are many options out there, so narrowing it down as much as possible will make the process go smoother. In the meantime, you should contact a mortgage broker and get pre qualified to see how much you can afford to spend on a home. There are many different companies to choose from, so keep in mind that the first realtor you have may not be the right one for you.
