To me a role model is someone in my life that has influenced me in a positive way. They are some one that i can look to for advice in a hard situation and know that they will give me words of wisdom. They will never judge me on my past but only look to help because they really do care about me. Some one who i never feel awkward talking to about my problems because i know that it will not change their opinion of me and they will not reveal any information about me to anyone. A role model should be sincere and not out for there own good but the good of others.

She had a high powered government job in new york city, which she had to give up when she had her first child dylan.

This was a huge change for her because she was used to being so independent and working long hours in a huge city and now her day consists of taking care of a rambunctious three year old and a helpless three month old. She went from making a large amount of money to living on a teacher's salary with many burdensome bills. After dylan arrived on t my mom is one of the most inspiring people in my life and what makes her so special is that she seems to have no idea how motivating she is.

In my last leadership experience, i led a retreat where the girls in my group were to examine their lives and decide who they want to be inside for the future. My mother’s example helped me give compassion and make these girls comfortable enough to open up and share their experiences. After taking this leadership class i am even more ready to apply a relationship style leadership to other non emotional focused leadership positions. I have taken what my mother has taught me since i was a child and implemented it into a unique leadership style that combines many of the theories and makes it my own brand.
