Pride And Prejudice Extended Essay Topics Text

Jonathan Friesen - Writing Coach

To be single and 'running against time' is not the cocktail a woman in her thirties wants to be having. Instead, she should be at home with her 1.7 children and her career making husband to support the nuclear family, unfortunately this is not the case for bridget jones, who is not only struggling with time, but also with her pushy mother, who gives the word matchmaker an entirely new meaning. This essay seeks to explore the relationship between bridget and her mother, and in terms of doing so, i will have to draw bridget's life into focus, where themes such as single life, pressure and time will play an essential role to my interpretation and analysis of the text.

The main character bridget jones is a middle aged woman with one humiliating problem: no man in her life.

However, having said that, it is still possible to do a good job on it if you look for something obscure and specific. So if you are looking at jane austen, i 39 d say don 39 t do p amp p and find something else. There is an exemplar ee on emma amp the function of the outdoors which could prompt thinking personally, i thought it was a bit pedestrian, but that 39 s just me. Otherwise, if you 39 re still dead keen on austen, i would strongly recommend going for one of her other novels.

Seriously, i was considering doing jane austen for my ee and i found it incredibly difficult to find original ideas. So my advice is to stop looking at p amp p and find something interesting and small to deal with in one of her other novels. If you 39 re still keen, make sure you read up in journals try jstor or whatever you prefer and see if and what other people have written on your topics. Edit: also, just to add to shad0wboss 39 post, if you copy your ee question from a sparknotes document, you are in serious trouble. So if you are going to use them, adapt them as a starting point rather than as your final comment. Personally, i feel the ideas discussed in sparknotes are far too common and not literary enough for an ee you 39 d have to go more specific and identify some group of literary techniques you 39 re focusing on.
