So, instead of a melting ice , we could see american samoa as a kind of tile mosaic. This power is based on the close relationship between the cultures and their members.

In this identity lies strength this strength is the reason we should celebrate, rather than challenge, diversity of culture in every group and individual. Customs that diminish the survival chances of a given society are not likely to persist. Expressive culture is the communication of ideas and feelings about the world through an artistic medium. Immensely flexible, ever changing and vital to the continuation of self and society. Expressive culture lives in the varied languages of the spirit and the aesthetic sense we share with others around the globe.

These includes communications in their own languages, art in their own idioms, dance and music and patterned words and writings in their own history enriched haloes of meaning. This assumption of the humanities, that expressive culture is the path to understanding among people of different cultures. Samoa, there is a multitude of different cultures, ranging from groups such as, hispanics, africa, europe, asia, middle east, other pacific islander groups such as the micronesians, melanesians, and the list goes on. Samoa is similar to the us, people from around the globe, but most especially am. Samoa, this has brought a mix of cultures and understanding of the challenges of unifying a diverse nation. Samoa comprising of different groups all around the globe, unlike it was said before, although cultures have mixed, but they have never melted, because each group have been strengthen by their own distinctiveness. Samoa, it happens all around the globe, each group trying to find the right space to settled and to called it home, and not to forget that no matter where you go in this world you will always carry with you that proud culture or the kind group you belong to, so that where ever you get to go your culture goes. Being able to communicate with each other and not other animals differentiates us from other animals. This unique characteristic of being humans also is a cause of diversity in our cultural and ethnic identity.

From birth we are trained to learn a basic language but as we grow older we pick up languages from our environment in our quest to become accepted by the dominant population.
