writeonsite is a unique on line writing competition which you can enjoy from the comfort of your own sofa, from anywhere in the world! the competition will be opened at 5.30pm gmt every saturday. Three themes will be given choose your theme, pay your entrance fee, then you rsquo ll be given the remaining time to write your masterpiece! we will then judge the entries and choose the top three these three stories will be available to be read and judged by all other participants anytime from the following wednesday at 5.30pm until the saturday at 5pm, when votes will be counted and the winner announced. Players will need a paypal account to pay the entry fee, as this also alows us to pay the winners takings to them through paypal. If you don rsquo t already have one, be sure to set one up in time for the competition! the next competition details are on the top of the right page. Competition closed we 39 re pleased to kick off our fall short story competition. For this competition, we are looking for the best short stories you can write or have already written. We want to read short stories that are original, creative, that tell a full story within the constraints of 1,0 5,0 words. We want to meet interesting characters, be taken to interesting places, or see into the thoughts, minds, and emotions of others. Premium members may submit unlimited entries to the contest. when i was about 12, i saw an ad in a magazine for a poetry contest that sounded fancy and impressive, something like international library of poetry. I bled poetry at that age, so i crossed my fingers and sent in a poem i’d been slaving over for weeks.

It can be hard for a writer to know where to start looking for competitions, and how to tell if they’re legitimate or not. here are 29 reputable, well reviewed, free writing contests for poets, fiction writers, essayists and more. some legitimate contests do charge a small entry or reading fee, but often a fee can be a red flag for a scam, so you may want to stick to free writing contests and there are certainly enough of them.
